Dear Valued NetFronts
Customer,
In
case you are not aware, a new virus known as “Novarg” is rapidly spreading
across the Internet. You may have begun to receive unusual
messages with attachments such as message.zip or text.txt.
As with any email message with an attachment that you aren’t
expecting, we recommend NOT opening it.
The virus message may contain this text:
“Mail transaction failed. Partial message is available.”
“The message contains Unicode characters and has been sent as a binary
attachment.”
“The message cannot be represented in 7-bit ASCII encoding and has been
sent as a binary attachment.”
Your website is not directly affected by this virus; however, your ISP may
experience a slow down if they are targeted by the virus and it uses their
bandwidth. Also, with the extra amount of email traffic that this virus is
generating, you may notice delays in receiving email. A delay will continue
until the overall level of email on the Internet returns to normal levels,
which is unknown at this point.
